This is a good looking grater. I've had it for a few months. Materials seem good and less prone to rust. The wide rubber bottom makes it very sturdy. I have not tried taking off the rubber bottom to put it in the dishwasher.

I would never expect to find myself writing a review for something as prosaic as a grater. That said, I didn’t know what I was missing - I’d a grater for 20 years which worked perfectly fine until I decided to upgrade some of my kitchen gear. I got this to replace an old, smaller grater. This grater does great work. I have used it for cheese, carrots, and Au Gratin potatoes. It's affordable, and good quality. I like the rubber base and handle. It doesn't slip or move and it does the job.

I see a lot of people talking about food debris getting under the rubber base and being hard to clean. The rubber gasket goes on and off pretty easily to clean, like it is designed to do.

I like the fact that it comes with a rubber edge at the bottom that keeps it from moving around when using it against a granite countertop or other smooth surfaces.

This is the grater you want. I bought because the grater we used for cheese rusted. This one is very good for most types of cheese, but it's also good for vegetables. The bottom doesn't move. Great grater!! :)

I liked this box grayer as it’s well made, sturdy and cleans up well in the dishwasher. I used it to grate frozen butter and it worked well with the rubber on the bottom so it didn’t slide every where.
